Beeple (Mike Winkelmann) art EVERYDAYS: THE FIRST 5000 DAYS sold with 69 million. The most expensive NFT.
Mike Winkelmann, aka Beeple, is the creator of The Everydays: the First 5000 Days. A total of 5000 digital images were created by Winkelmann in his Everydays series. The associated non-fungible token (NFT) was sold for $69.3 million by Christie's in 2021, making it the most expensive NFT.
It was purchased by Vignesh Sundaresan, creator of Metapurse NFT and MetaKovan. Sundaresan purchased the artwork for 42,329 Ethereum.
In a media frenzy surrounding the Everydays auction, Sundaresan and Winkelmann drove up the price of this work to drive sales of speculative assets linked to twenty other Beeple works. The auction has been accused of being a publicity stunt.
Sundaresan, however, does not receive the copyright for the artwork. An online virtual museum allows the public to view artwork using a web browser. Till today Everydays remains the highest selling NFT.

History of NFT-s
According to Meni Rosenfield's 2012 paper, the first non-fungible tokens were issued on the Bitcoin blockchain in 2012-2013. Tokens representing non-fungible assets on the blockchain include precious metals, cars, and real estate. The use of Bitcoin extends beyond digital collectibles, coupons, and properties. New technologies can be used for a variety of purposes called technology applications.
As a result of Mike Winkelmann's 69,3 million dollar sale of his NFT in 2021, NFTs became mainstream in 2021. Digital art is entering a new era. The technology of blockchain has the potential to reduce air pollution and combat climate change for the first time in history. Click here to learn what the best NFT tokens to buy.
